The earthquake-proof structures that survived the test are now displayed in the media center, along with pictures of all the students who participated and any structures that didn't make it! The kids are really excited to have their hard work on display, and I'm proud of them too! :)

The middle school skills for success groups will be switching to new teachers on Tuesday! If students were taking Study Skills with Ms. Marsden or Ms. Collier, they will be now taking Social Skills with Ms. Green or myself and vice versa!

Also, during 7th period, all of the classes will be stopping the skills for success class at 2:25 in order to begin Study Hall (within the same classroom) from 2:25-2:47. This will allow students time to work on any projects or homework they may have, as well as get assistance from the teachers in the classrooms while they are still at school.

Students in my science classes have been learning about plate tectonics and the different plate boundaries that create different types of landforms. Students modeled each type of plate boundary and observed what type of landform they created by using simple foods including graham crackers, rice krispie treats, and icing! Here are some pictures of the students working!

Students in my social skills class were given a limited amount of materials to work with their peers in order to design and create an amusement park. Here are some pictures of the resulting pieces!
