Currently in my science classes students are learning about fossils and the importance of them. They got to see what it was like to be paleontologists for a day by cutting out a set of bones and putting them together to create an unknown creature, which they ended up realizing it was a T-Rex! This was an inquiry lesson where students used their imagination, background knowledge, and what information they could get from a picture of a human skeleton to put the pieces together. Here is a picture of the bulletin board we created outside the classroom to display the students' awesome work!
